When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29, I thought the scariest part would be treatment.
It wasn’t.
The scariest part was the feeling that my life was suddenly out of my control. Everything felt decided for me: appointments, medications, timelines, decisions I never expected to face so young. I didn't even get to decide who took care of my babies! But something surprising happened along the way: I realized I still had a voice.
I still had choices.
I still had power.
A diagnosis does not erase who you are. It doesn’t cancel your intuition or your strength. Even in the middle of uncertainty, you are still allowed to advocate for yourself, ask questions, and make decisions that align with your values. Fear may show up, but it does not get to lead.
